This is the despicable ploy of the right: Hostage taking. Hostage taking of fellow citizens. They know the left as a whole is sympathetic and compassionate and as a result always folds in order not to see anyone suffer.

It, unfortunately, is time. Time to counter their tactic:

"Alright, go ahead and shoot 'em."
