Think of all the bridges that could be built with the steel they plan to use on a fence?

We could probably build a high-speed rail system across most of the country with the steel and labor wasted on a Trumpian fantasy?

Hell, that's a threefer for Trump. He gets to claim he built a wall and the economies of both the US and Mexico get a huuuuge boost.
