Everyday, I drive under two bridges that are close to falling.
Or at least they look that way. I hold my breath each time I have to go under them.
I hit a pothole on the interstate the other day. Almost lost control of my vehicle.
POTUS is talking about building some kind of wall like it is a Tinker Toy project.
POTUS lies like we breathe. Regularly and rhythmically.
POTUS and his supporters reduce complicated issues to slogans. (MAGA, Build That Wall, etc.).
Our country has been compromised and irrevocably changed by a hostile foreign power.
POTUS is treasonous. POTUS is a criminal.
POTUS refuses to enthusiastically condemn white supremacists.
POTUS enthusiastically advocated for the murder of the innocent and exonerated Central Park 5.
Tens of thousands of our very own die every year due to lack of/inadequate health care.
And we still clutch our pearls because a Democratic representative said motherfucker.

Never mind. We need a wall on the southern border to keep those dirty diseased brown people and the Islamic State people from getting in here. And they have bubonic plague, if you haven't heard!
So, don't worry about your local bridge collapsing, we need a bloody great big WALL!

That study was two years ago. Probably lots of water and other systems particularly in older parts of the U.S. that were put in long ago and have deteriorated over time.
I recall Al Gore mentioning the ASCE warnings about failing infrastructure during the 2000 campaign but haven't heard much about it since aside from a couple things like the bridge collapse in Minneapolis and the water in Flint. Maybe the legal proceedings against the Michigan officials connected to the water crisis will prompt some others to do their jobs.
Of course what we really need is Dotard's monument to racism.
