America's storyteller:

Maddow’s viewers have been paying attention, coming back night after night for long, meaty segments packed with nuance—and pushing The Rachel Maddow Show to the best ratings in the show’s ten year history, and in recent weeks, becoming the highest-rated prime-time show in all of cable news.

“She has this incredible way of bringing disparate stories together, and understanding what links them together and how you have to look at so many pieces of a puzzle in order to see how it all fits together,” Cory Gnazzo, Maddow’s executive producer, told me. “She is able to process all the information and put it together in a way that makes people focus on what’s really important.”

... something I've noticed recently is that Trump's idiocy has pushed moderates and independents to watch her. Two different coworkers at the rural HS I was teaching at until this year who are self proclaimed independents have texted to me things in the past few months that they saw when watching Maddow. I said well at least you are now getting some news from an intelligent source.

Oh and by the way, can't wait for Rachel's interview with Liz Warren tonight!
