1. Congress has not approved the USMCA trade deal.

2. There is no provision in the USMCA that says Mexico pays for the Wall.

3. The Wall has not been built. That's why we are in a #TrumpShutdown.

and she said "from all the extra money that comes in" and the reporter said, "but that money goes to private businesses, not to the Federal treasury," and she was genuinely taken aback. She said "well, there are excesses in different departments, so there are lots of places to find the funding."

She clearly doesn't get it that it's taxpayer money that funds the government, not some mysterious entity. It's *all* taxpayer money.

And I don't think Donald Trump understands that, either.
