Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr. on Tuesday gave an interview to the Washington Post about the relationship between evangelical Christians and President Donald Trump — and it’s loaded with logical howlers, factual inaccuracies, and just plain gibberish.

Below are some of the craziest quotes from Fallwell Jr.’s interview.

1.) Among other things, Falwell claims that he doesn’t care about Trump’s rampant immorality because he was elected to help trim the national debt — even though the deficit has actually exploded under Trump’s watch.

“What earns him my support is his business acumen,” Falwell tells the Post. “Our country was so deep in debt and so mismanaged by career politicians that we needed someone who was not a career politician, but someone who’d been successful in business to run the country like a business. That’s the reason I supported him.”

Reporter Joe Heim then pointed out that the deficit had gone up in each of Trump’s first two years — and Falwell simply brushed it off by saying that “he had no choice because Obama had decimated the military, and it had to be rebuilt.”

Let me just say this: The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges should really call into question, of this hypocrite to be the "leader" of this "college"...................this is just outrageous.................. ..............and he makes over $850,000.00 a year.............doing exactly what.................
