(37,648 posts)Some Iraqi politicians are talking about Trump's visit and other things. Typical political talk. But that's not the official country's position.
It would be like some Republicans and Democrats in Congress here complaining about foreign policy, but that's not the official U S foreign policy position.
Congressional politicians are always saying things for various purposes. Until the leader of the country says those things and makes it the country's position, it's interesting and should be reported, but it's not a big story.

(90,708 posts)...all the way through? I applaud you for including Al Jazeera to broaden your perspective, but that doesn't mean "no one on the (US) news is covering it." I heard that Iraq was pissed at Trump last night.
Just as an aside, for print news, read the still-greats and look past Page 1.
