even though Obama had to turn the market around. My recollection is that the market did not start climbing until around 5 months in his first term.

This dip is totally about a lack of confidence in the US market and that lack of confidence is all about Trump's leadership. If you can't tell what the * is going on, how do you plan for the future. People are heading to safe investments and hoping for a 2020 change. If we actually head into a recession. Look out below!

It'll be dropping at a much faster rate soon. All because trump and the gop destroyed the President Obama economy they rode into office on. Now the policies they've passed and tariffs and many other things they've done is starting to cripple our economy, again, and all because of trump and the gop. The same thing was done under W Bush , but on a smaller scale , so this will be a worse one when its all done.

If it drops 2,000 more points, no investment money will have been made during his term. Cash will get tighter and loans will get called. That will lead to job cuts and recession.

A big thing that killed Gerald Ford's presidency in the '76 election was he pardoned Nixon. If Mike Pence wants to run, he has that to consider if Trump resigns. Though if the Trump economy sinks, Pence goes down with that ship.

When a president is struggling and the economy heads south, there is one play left in the Republican play book: start a war (see Iraq 2003). A war would provide some extra protection for the president from the special prosecutor. Whack jobs like Stephen Miller would be all in.
