(53,815 posts)and actually showed O how it's done.
His time has passed though. Harris/Beto, two young, attractive Dems would be hard to beat.

(297,503 posts)The survey from She the People questioned 264 women of color across the country. Of the people surveyed, 50% of the women identified as black, 40% as Latinx, 16% as Asian, and 5% as Native American. The survey was conducted from Nov. 29, 2018, through Dec. 13, 2018.

(6,139 posts)I think Harris would energize dem base in general election even more than Obama did in 2008. Unlike Obama she is extremely open and bold when she talks and with surgical precision of a former prosecutor. Plus she has all the charisma of Obama. IMO, Biden wont turn out the dem vote the way Harris will. Like Beto she comes across as extremely honest and transparent. She is also a co-sponsor of medicare for all bill. We all know any dem nominee who does not support that has zero chance of winning in dem primary. Havent heard Biden supporting it. Healthcare will be the biggest issue in dem primaries. Love Biden but I continue to think that his time was running in 2016 when he would easily win the nomination but the country wants fresh blood now and more importantly, someone who will dominate media spotlight (Harris and Beto will eclipse all trump coverage, Biden wont get much). California democrats are very knowledgeable and effective - look at Pelosi, Shiff, Harris, Feinstein, Boxer (former), Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsom, etc. Succesfully running the biggest state and one of the biggest and most succesfull economies is no slouch, cant compete with that.
