Is he the only one not aware of the coming tsunami against him? Perhaps this is his way of swallowing the contributions...he is all about the benjamins.

Trump Campaign Swallows the GOP
December 18, 2018 at 6:59 am EST By Taegan Goddard
Under the plan, which has been in the works for several weeks, the Trump reelection campaign and the RNC will merge their field and fundraising programs into a joint outfit dubbed Trump Victory. The two teams will also share office space rather than operate out of separate buildings, as has been custom. The goal is to create a single, seamless organization that moves quickly, saves resources, and perhaps most crucially minimizes staff overlap and the kind of infighting that marked the 2016 relationship between the Trump campaign and the party.

(16,124 posts)wrap my mind around is the idea that they are all so compromised that they can't step out of line or that they don't plan for the elections to matter at all, because they plan on finding a way to move to a dictatorship with that horrible orange thing in charge.

(4,742 posts)I can see the Republican Reps smacking their heads in many cases (at least the ones who survived 2018) asking why? And for the 3 or so vulnerable Senators they must be asking the same thing. The headwinds are strong against Trump right now. I could see this sinking the entire party for years to come.

(50,303 posts)When I hear polls about 80% of Republicans supporting Trump, I wonder if that 80% today would be significantly less than the 80% of 2016.
