P. S. Love the dragons

(15,952 posts)I like the dragons, it's better than the xtians who put up the nativity scene along with a lighted cross. They literally are celebrating the birth and death of christ all in one season.
The irony is beyond belief, Weirdos!

(17,019 posts)I love dragons. Riders of Pern is one of my all time favorite series. Also, last time I checked, Christmas is a pagan holiday the Christians stole along with all the other holidays they celebrate. Your neighbor would stroke out if they learned about the original Valentine's Day celebration.

I can just see it as a 5-ft. inflatable with lights. Put a Santa hat on it and everyone in her neighborhood would want one for the lawn.
I'm designing another using the Amazon check-mark as we speak....

(14,494 posts)the name of her neighborhood, which she does not want revealed. Helps to avoid any dragon burnings, if you know what I mean.
She's from Louisiana, where dragon shootings are also quite common.....

(14,034 posts)Pretty likely. It crossed my mind that it might've been a nasty adjective, though.

(14,860 posts)That would be great. I suspect that most people, even most Christians, like the dragon decorations.
I think the display is very nicely done. It's much better than most of the tacky ugly Christmas-themed shit you see all over the place.
marble falls

(14,860 posts)are pitiful indeed. What did they think they were going to accomplish? Did they really think she was going to have any respect for them, after this craven and cowardly behavior? There can be little doubt, now that she's put out more dragons, that they're crying about how badly they're being persecuted for being Christians.
marble falls
(57,204 posts)Maybe 12 -14 times a year. Several people wrote to the worship chairman that "marble falls sure reads the Gospel a lot, shouldn't others get a chance?"

(12,440 posts)The season of light has always been a time to indulge in fantasy. In the 19th Century, IIRC, newspapers often printed ghost stories around this time. And the LOTR movies were each released in the US at this time of year. I can think of few things more Christmassy than dragons.

(17,984 posts)On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader
No, it's nothing to do with dragons, but it's everything to do with the original Santa...who is a monster with horns.
PatrickforO
(14,587 posts)I always thought of Santa as one of the little people.
Consider - the western mind generally has no trouble at all accepting the potential existence of different dimensions, different planes of reality, and we can even conceive of things like worm holes and other gates between these planes.
It is only when the concept that these different planes may be peopled by other beings that our minds begin to resist...

(81,459 posts)BESIDES... Christian art through the centuries has included snakes, dragons, demons, and horned bad guys with long arrowhead-tipped tails, bat wings, pitchforks, and cloven hooves. There are enough depictions of hellfire and damnation to fill thousands of neighborhoods. Cathedrals all over Europe are festooned with them. Ever heard of gargoyles?

(2,679 posts)I got two dragons, the big black one n the OP's post and a zombie dragon. Normally I have been using them at Halloween to eat the orange man and battle deplorables.
I should have so done dragons for xmas. All I got is a sign that says, "All I want for Christmas is anew president." All blue lights. Of course that sign and my moveon.org "Here we believe...," sign and a Yoda decked in Santa clothes.
I am half tempted to put my dragons out.
