(12,344 posts)The subject of the subpoena may not even show up, and we aren't even sure if this really involves Mueller. Maybe someone from his office comes and at least we learn that little tidbit.

The DC Circuit is about to hear arguments in the sealed grand jury matter. They've sealed not only the courtroom, but the whole floor, so we've been moved away. Haven't recognized anyone going in earlier as being connected to Mueller's office, now we won't be able to see

WASHINGTON (CN) The D.C. Circuit is set to hear arguments Friday from a K Street lawyer who brought a federal complaint to scrutinize President Donald Trumps personal financial liabilities. ... Unlike his tax returns which Trump has resisted disclosing on the basis that they are under audit Trump disclosed his financial liabilities before his election in May 2016.
Jeffrey Lovitky challenged that disclosure last year, however, on the basis that Trump had improperly commingled his personal and business obligations, obfuscating the degree to which the $300 million in debts that Trump disclosed implicate him personally.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly dismissed the suit this past April, however, after finding that Trumps disclosure duty under the Ethics in Government Act was discretionary rather than ministerial.
....
A solo practitioner who often sues federal agencies over complying with regulations, Lovitky also filed suit last year against first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, both of whom are White House advisers. In the same vein as the suit against the president, Lovitky accused the pair of illegal omissions from their public financial-disclosure forms.

(2,807 posts)This is Robert Mueller investigation.
This is one of the three cases Mike Flynn cooperated and gave info on.
But Mueller kept everything about this case secret.

Special counsel Robert Mueller dropped a heavily anticipated sentencing memo on Tuesday for Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about a year ago. Youll quickly notice that the memo has large sections that were redacted because they describe Flynns assistance with investigations that are still ongoing.
But theres a lot in the text itself and between the redacted lines in the documents, amounting to four key takeaways.
First off, Mueller is quite happy with Flynns cooperation happy enough to recommend that he serve no prison time. (This is a notable contrast to the positively scathing memo Muellers team wrote about George Papadopoulos, in which they said he did not provide substantial assistance and complained that he talked to the press.)
Second, Flynn is cooperating in not one but three different investigations Muellers investigation of the Trump campaigns ties to Russia, a separate criminal probe, and a third investigation of some kind. But most of the details of these other probes are redacted, including even the type of the third investigation.
