I think Putin is smart enough to know that Donnie Shit for Brains is quickly becoming a liability to him, so I think he gave the word to Ms. Butina to "take him out".

It kind of makes sense. Donnie Fungus Dick may have reached his expiration date. What better way to take him out than to have someone who was on the inside of the conspiracy to start telling all that she knows.

Does it cause some short-term problems for Putin? Sure, but you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that Donnie Short Fingers was Putin's vessel to infiltrate our country at the highest levels.

Putin may have gotten all that he can out of this scheme and is now throwing Donnie Shit for Brains away like a used condom.

I think that the Russian Intelligence Service sees the writing on the wall and are getting out before the whole scheme comes crumbling down.

They've already done damn near existential damage to our Democracy...and they had to know that at some point this fraud had a limited shelf-life.

Butina cooperating with the Feds indicates that the KGB is pulling the plug on Donnie fungus Dick.

On a personal level, I could give two shits, what happens to him. However, given the average life span of the people that have pissed off Putin you have to admit that being on his radar in a negative way is no place most people want to be.
