Because deplorables don't care, Trump is beyond Teflon. Nothing he does is too big a sin. So they'd see this cartoon as endorsing that attitude, and making fun of liberals angst. That even Santa, a good white Santa of course, is ok with things like cheating with a porn star while his wife was pregnant, and then paying her off to help him win the office. This is their version of Santa. And the elf is a scrawny liberal snowflake, that has been humiliated by finding out Santa is full on MAGA!
