78 throwing their hat in the ring for President. Interestingly enough, that blanket statement qualifies as a stereotype based on a group which I assume you are defining by agenewbies. That qualifies as ageism.

It's future viability.
Anyone considering the Presidency now needs to have a good 10 years left in them (campaign plus two terms). A 2-term president won't be finished until January of 2029.
It is not guaranteed for anyone but the odds are really against anyone nearing or over 70.
