Trump Touts Comments from Geraldo Rivera Saying There’s ‘Nothing Impeachable’ in New Mueller Docs

President Donald Trump is claiming vindication after the release of the new Robert Mueller memos, and this morning he quoted Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera in doing so.
Rivera started off this morning by telling the Fox & Friends crew, “I think what’s most important is the President has not committed a high crime or misdemeanor, at least not as contained in the various sentencing memos that we’re talking about today. This has always been a toxic illegal traitorous collusion with the Russians to sabotage the U.S. election. That is not at all what the special counsel has come up with.”
Rivera did say there’s a “sleaze factor” in Michael Cohen‘s actions, even if his actions with respect to the Moscow tower project weren’t criminal, and he agreed with the analysis that the one crime in any of the memos he sees is that Trump directed Cohen to make payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.
But in the grand scope of things, he deemed this entire case as a “collusion illusion,” saying there’s no smoking gun and that while Trump may not be totally exonerated, “it certainly seems that again, there’s nothing impeachable here.”
