It is almost sad to be hated as much as Trump is.

The piercing eyes and the frozen face ----I am always expecting the hounds of hell to be at her side on a leash. I don't think it is how she looks that bothers me. She is good looking even if it is not the face with which she was born. It's more an attitude projection.
She did seem quite comfortable and genuine when she was laughing with the Pope about Donald's calorie intake.
The office of First Lady was alway a weird construct but we have crossed a Rubicon here.
I do get a kick out of thinking she's a Russian operative. Feels as though I am living in an old James Bond movie.

I appreciate all three of our democratic presidents AND their First Ladies.
Funny, for the fake family values party, the guy on the left had as many wives as all theee of the guys on the right.
Cant fault the Bush family for that, at least. Long marriages.

(59,506 posts)In fact, not until 2004 was Carter invited to speak at a Democratic convention after he lost. If you looked hard, you could find comments from either that suggested they were not that impressed with each other. However, that is not unique to the Clintons - Carter never really was close to Ted Kennedy - though the reason there is more obvious.

(5,106 posts)at some remark Jimmy is making. To be fair to everyone ( even the deplorable current first couple), I would assume that the picture in which they all look unhappy was taken during the actual service, and has nothing to do with who is sitting next to whom.

(42,770 posts)How decent a man George Bush was and how he had dignity and no malice (talking personal attributes) that you would be introspective and try to lead a better life. But, the praise John McCain was similar and it had absolutely zero affect on -45.
Kind of makes you realize that the very crux of the matter with -45 is not as much about his politics it is about the fact that he's a poor excuse for a human being.
