"SNIP....
Defeated Gov. Scott Walker is behind the series of measures that Republicans are trying to pass in Wisconsin that would weaken the power of incoming Democratic Gov. Tony Evers.
The AP reported:
Other measures would weaken the attorney generals office by allowing Republican legislative leaders to intervene in cases and hire their own attorneys. A legislative committee, rather than the attorney general, would have to sign off on withdrawing from federal lawsuits.
That would stop Evers and incoming Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul from fulfilling their campaign promises to withdraw Wisconsin from a multi-state lawsuit seeking repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald downplayed concerns about the lame-duck session, saying, I dont think its outrageous at all.

Powers and duties.
SECTION 4.
The governor shall be commander in chief of the military and naval forces of the state. He shall have power to convene the legislature on extraordinary occasions, and in case of invasion, or danger from the prevalence of contagious disease at the seat of government, he may convene them at any other suitable place within the state. He shall communicate to the legislature, at every session, the condition of the state, and recommend such matters to them for their consideration as he may deem expedient. He shall transact all necessary business with the officers of the government, civil and military. He shall expedite all such measures as may be resolved upon by the legislature, and shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.
Send the Wisconsin Navy after the GOPers.
Or, since this is an extraordinary occasion, convene the legislature every other hour to communicate the condition of the state and recommend they listen to the voters.
