H. W. a musical tribute
As much is being said today about George Herman Walker Bush today I have to harken back to my time as a Republican. I switched watching Jesse Jackson's "That's Not America" speech at the 1992 Democratic Convention. I watched it in an Army barracks in Germany.
While in the Army during the first Gulf War we were victims of one of the most unholy unGodly songs ever created. They started playing it endlessly everywhere and it continued milking money into 2016.
We'd congregate for final formation and "Taps" would be played. As always. 
Then they started adding Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA". At first no one knew what to do. Do we stay at attention? Parade rest? At first it was parade rest, months later we just milled around. Finally, FINALLY, someone let out "Do we REALLY have to stand here and listen to this BULLSHIT!?!?" Not me surprisingly. What a god awful song. My troop specifically my platoon didn't put up with much crap. We were told we could fall out after "Taps". We did. We pretty much had the taxi stand to ourselves for a long period of time after that.

The world is a strange amazing place, especially when William Shatner is involved. I'm gonna need to check this out when I have a chance. That line-up is bananas.
