Trump accused of using Bush death to cancel press conference and duck Cohen questions

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/12/trump-accused-using-bush-death-cancel-press-conference-duck-cohen-questions-know-reason/

Early Saturday, Trump tweeted, “I was very much looking forward to having a press conference just prior to leaving Argentina because we have had such great success in our dealing with various countries and their leaders at the G20…. However, out of respect for the Bush Family and former President George H.W. Bush we will wait until after the funeral to have a press conference.”

Faced with the bombshell guilty plea and confession by his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, just as he left for Argentina, many on Twitter speculated that the president didn’t want to face a foreign press that can be even more hostile than American reporters.

As one Trump critic noted: “You respect nobody. Another funeral you will not be welcomed at. You canceled your press conference because you are afraid.”

OUCH !!!@ That hurt!

I wonder if that was an American journalist???? My guess is probably not. Perhaps our crew can take lessons from this person and Mr. Acosta.....

a better distraction. The networks will be 24/7 Poppy love for a week or more instead of focusing on the crimes of TraitorTot and his minions.

Didn’t take long for him to duck and cover.

You'd almost think that after two relentless years' worth of this nonsense, his motives would be apparent to a much larger section of society.

This really was a godsend for him. He gets to remove himself from the toxic news cycle to focus on "mourning."

There's no love loss between the Trumpster and the Bushies. In fact, I was appalled that the 'official WH statement' mentioned the phrase: a thousand points of light, the very words the Squatter-in-Chief mocked during one of his endless, self-congradulatory rallies.

I absolutely buy into the idea that The Donald cancelled the press conference because the heat is too great at the moment and the foreign press would have battered Donald with inconvenient questions.

The current resident of the WH is and has aways been a coward, a man who has never been held accountable for his slimy business deals or leaving others to choke in his dusty retreat. Of which there have been many examples.

It appears that the Trumpster has invited himself to Poppy Bush's funeral. If the family allows The Inarticulate One to speak, it will be a spectacle. And not in a good way because true to form The Donald is more than capable of turning a eulogy into a chest-beating ceremony, a whiny litany about his unappreciated greatness.

So yes, the Trump critic is spot on:

“You respect nobody. Another funeral you will not be welcomed at."

Fact of the matter is that GHWB will be eulogized in a positive light, from his Military service to his presidency, even though he has supporters AND detractors from the White House years.

The Military thing is enough to make Trump run and hide. How can the media not compare a president who suited up to one who spent his "own personal Vietnam" dodging STDs? It's impossible.

Attending the funeral is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" proposition for Trump.

That might be a fun question for his PC
Trump never forgives
Hopefully, they will ask him not to attend the funeral
