Relishing it. So sad.

I feel sorry for you in a lot of ways.

Yes, I am relishing that this monster is no longer among the breathing.

I do happen to have personal animosity toward him:

His was the first presidential election I was old enough to vote in.

I was disappointed that Dukakis lost, but was willing to give HW a chance (I was young and naive).
This was long before I knew of his death squads in the CIA and all the blood he already had on his hands.

I was young and naive enough to think Gulf War I was a good idea, and impressed with how well it seemed to go.

And, then, with an approval rating in the 90s, he made a huge energy policy speech.

I was in high hopes that he would announce a move to renewables, and nobody would ever have to die for oil again.

Instead, crooked oil man that he was, he took us backwards into oil, oil, and more oil. Not only that, but he got us even more under the Saudis' thumbs.

All the other tawdry and evil things I learned after the fact and over the years. The Bush Crime Family has been going on for generations. They are all evil and guilty.

And, he was molesting women from his wheelchair. A dirty old man to the end.

Seems like it is all relative to some people, like he's not as overtly disgusting as Trump so we can compare/contrast and somehow remember him fondly.

I've been keeping out of most of the threads, lest I be accused of pissing on graves or something. But I would. Piss on his grave, I mean.

Son of Prescott Bush, the guy who tried to arrange a coup against FDR.
But IMO he wasn’t *as horrible* as St. Ronnie and the Repugs that followed him, including his son of course.

And, of course, figures from both parties still refuse to shun him in public like the criminal that he is.

There are deplorable, sadly, on both sides.
