Trump was stumbling through a written script,
as if he had not read it in advance,
although he did ad lib "The military has great leadership."
And that sometime today he'd be visiting a Coast Guard station near Mar-a-Lago.

(50,303 posts)He made a comment to the military guy about some school the military guy trained at and then, of course, mentioned it was "one of the great schools, just like the Wharton School of Business." It's always, always, always about him. What I noticed most about the press availability that followed was the very visible throne - I swear it's a throne and not a chair - to his right in the picture. What a total numbnuts. I finished up in the kitchen just as he was visiting a war zone: the Coast Guard at a beach in Florida. You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

(45,020 posts)He looked like a blithering idiot teleconferencing into an old coiled handset.
That's just not how it's done these days... even when some on
the conference are receiving audio-only. Has he even heard of Skype
(or a bazillion other services)?
