10 of these 11 incumbent Democrats have supported Trump's agenda more frequently than the former House Speaker.

There is one obstacle in Pelosis way: A much-publicized bid, mounted by a breakaway group of Democrats seeking to end Pelosis reign as leader of the House Democrats, a position she has held since 2003. Their effort, however, met a setback on Tuesday when Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH), who was at one point put forward as this opposition groups choice to repeal and replace Pelosi, announced she would be backing Pelosi instead.
Of the 11 who are currently serving, 10 have voted with President Donald Trump more frequently than Pelosi, who was recently rated as one of the most progressive members of the House by Mother Jones.

(11,738 posts)I am not saying the Trump puts out much worth supporting, but if the GOP or Trump put forth legislation or policy that is necessary or even helpful (which I typically find suspicious) then why would someone oppose it? Just because it was Trump or the GOP? That sounds too familiar and is not good governance; which is what the Democratic Party is fundamentally based on at this point.

Me.
(35,454 posts)support the opposition as much as they have. How many of them were Cons first? Rice was, don't know about the others.

(28,270 posts)Primary them is the answer.
I can already see which way these people are going to vote on a whole host of issues that the American people want and need.

(94,581 posts)Apparently we should "PRIMARY" everyone more conservative or pro-Trump than Pelosi...know who that includes? About a hundred House members voting for Pelosi, including people who don't come from safe, comfy Blue districts.
None of these folks vote with the Republicans a majority of the time, but they're DINOs. There are four House members who voted a MAJORITY of the time with Trump, but they're supporting Pelosi so that's okay right?
If you want to support Nancy Pelosi, fine. If you want to criticize people who won't, fine. But this demonizing of people who have a different view of leadership is about as bad as DU gets.

(7,113 posts)As the OP states, "Over 90% of the anti-Pelosi Democrats have voted with Trump more often than Pelosi."
The OP adds, "10 of these 11 incumbent Democrats have supported Trump's agenda more frequently than the former House Speaker."
This thread is specifically about those few Dems who oppose Pelosi as speaker, NOT every Dem less progressive than her.
Nobody is suggesting every Dem to the right of Nancy should be primaried.

(94,581 posts)...except that they get a pass because they're apparently voting the "right way" on leadership.

(7,113 posts)And with regard to all those other moderate Dem House members who ARE voting for Pelosi as Speaker, you're putting words in our mouths.

(94,581 posts)I have no problem with the Caucus picking Pelosi, and I have no problem if they don't. She's qualified but she's not the only one who is.

(61,622 posts)This was advertised as a revolt of more progressive representatives against Pelosi, in the interest of moving the party to the left.
It must be very embarrassing to discover that these are actually conservative Democrats.

(5,272 posts)still is. I've seen posters proffer up Barbara Lee as an alternative to Pelosi, but that's in response to the question, who should we put up if not Pelosi.
I have seen vague posts stating that Pelosi should be replaced, but nothing about those posts has indicated a left-wing angle or argument. One could be made, but you'd have to show me where a lot of left-leaning dems bought into an anti-Pelosi fervor that was stirred up by these conservative dems. Certainly, our elected more liberal congress-people didn't buy into it. I think your speculation here misses the mark.
