I'm a supporter of Pelosi to return to the speakership, just to get that out of the way.

I know that there have been anti-Pelosi posts at DU, and some folks want to see "new leadership" in the House, whatever that means in reality. It's a nice sentiment, I'll say that. But putting it into practice is something else entirely.

Maybe you're happy that Pelosi has fended off this challenge, maybe you're sad about it; I don't care much either way. But do look at the situation, and transfer some of what you've seen in this instance to going after President Trump. If you want him impeached and removed from office, you've GOT to lay your groundwork, and prepare the public for this nation-changing event. You've got to reach the most uninvolved, lowest information voters walking around and get the idea through to them that Trump is corrupt and has been committing high crimes and misdemeanors from even before he took the oath of office.

Moulton had some half-assed, half-baked notion that he wanted to challenge Pelosi's return to Speaker of the House. He was badly unprepared, he didn't have a plan of action, and didn't even really have an alternate candidate in mind. In two weeks his challenge fell apart like tissue paper in a rainstorm. If you signed on to Moulton's challenge for whatever reason, you should be really upset with Moulton for doing such a horrible job, with no Plan B and no anticipation of contingencies. He's an utter stumblebum. Don't trust or believe him in the future.

We need to be working NOW to get Trump removed from office, and part of that is getting people used to the idea that Trump is corrupt and needs to be removed. Otherwise, our efforts will end as badly as Moulton's did.
