A little off-topic, but I am a firm believer in positive things that make us smile amidst all the angst. We need morale boosts!

Every year Australian firefighters create calendars of firefighters posing with cute animals to sell as a fundraiser for charities.

There is also a cat calendar with rescue kittens:

7. Also they organize this themselves. I doubt the same could be said for a Playboy calendar.

No coercion or exploitation and no profit motive - it's a charity fundraiser, and a very effective one.

There are many such that feature women I could not get away with posting any of them here. Your point is not made. Double standard.

I would not post such a calendar, of course. It would be considered sexist. I don't do that.

4. Aussie men are HOT......

They are up close. I saw some hunky men in Sydney on my walks, in the pubs, working Construction. They love their tattoos too. Some of the Rugby players, oh my.

And I leave tomorrow to start my journey back to the United States.

What’s not to like. Plus, who could resist a cute animal. Agree with you Mineral Man, why are the pearl clutchers not raising objections to the objectivication (is that a word?) of the cute firefighters.
