Hayworth blocked by court from Independence line in NY 18th

My Congress critter Nan Hayworth got caught with a bunch of Independence line petitions all with printed names. She is running in the redistricted NY18th against Sean Maloney.

A state appeals court Wednesday thwarted Rep. Nan Hayworth's attempt to secure the Independence Party ballot line for her re-election bid in November. The Appellate Division panel ruled that the state Supreme Court properly voided names that were printed rather than signed on her petition and couldn't be authenticated in court. The lower-court decision in May had left Hayworth with an insufficient number of valid signatures.
Hayworth, a Republican, won about 5,400 votes on the Independence line in 2010.
