(115,858 posts)and I am looking forward very much to seeing him become the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. I think Schiff is someone who could figuratively tear out your spine and beat you to death with it.
Miles Archer
(18,837 posts)Bluster and chest-thumping and rampant "alpha male" posturing may have their time and place, but Schiff has no need for any of that.
Still waters still run deep, and those are the people you really look to for results.
This is going to be intense, and Schiff's going to be the one to watch. Let Trump have his fun now. He's got another month and a half and then, as SE Cupp said yesterday (I posed the video in Video & Multimedia), his three-hour work days are going to be coming to an end. "Executive Time" will largely be spent with his attorneys, figuring out how he's going to save his ass.

(8,200 posts)He is a disgusting cretin with a cadre of ignoramuses. Just how much longer must we suffer this fool. He attempting to turn the shining city on the hill into a rotten garbage dump and 30% of the his brainless imps jump up and down with glee. If they were the only ones to suffer I could give a damn, but he is taking the entire nation down into the sewer with him and his pack of fools.

(115,858 posts)The worst thing about it all isn't that Trump is a horrible person; it's that so many people in this country not only voted for but continue to applaud this horrible person because he's horrible.
Bravo.

(1,180 posts)Now thats funny. Trumps lying about Mueller Senate approval, (not required) is not.
SCantiGOP
(13,873 posts)Wasnt even funny by High School; it had been a riot in Jr High to turn someones name into a dirty word. What an idiot.
And while Senate confirmation of a Special Prosecutor is not required, Mueller was of course confirmed when he was named FBI Director.
Pepsidog
(6,254 posts)with him in that realm, he is the king of bullies. So we need to dismissively shrug off his name-calling and dont take the bait. Make him look as stupid as he sounds. Stand up to the bully with intellect and make him look Ike the Buffon he is. I dont know why the press doesnt embarrass him by asking him simple civic questions that no doubt couldnt answer. For example, Mr. President, how do you square the use of American troops at the border with the Posse Comitatus Act? Does anyone think Trump knows what posse comitatus means? Embarrass him like the press did to Palin. Show her ignorance
DeminPennswoods
(15,290 posts)that's all. All bullies want attention. Denying them that is the high road.
As for Posse Comitatus, Trump probably thinks it's some kind of sex.

(6,254 posts)other immature non-sense and the old guy simply pointed to me and laughed. It was very disarming, he was laughing at me while I made a fool out of myself. That was the last time I was ever involved in so-called road rage. Now, when I am the recipient of the bird , I simply point and laugh. Great tactic.

(51,629 posts)The so called "Proud Boys" came to our rally to incite violence. We were too mature to fall for their baiting. I smiled at them and made the "peace sign" with my fingers and it really pissed them off. I loved it!

Not playing whatabout with this post. I get mad at anyone who uses stupid references about someone's name.
It really does not help anyone's credibility to act like fifth graders.

(12,448 posts)It's the sort of thing you hear in middle school. Trump's form of "humor" is mocking people and calling them stupid names.

(19,204 posts)that Mueller doesn't need to be confirmed by the Senate (although he already was approved in 2001 as Director of the FBI)? Twitler doesn't seem to realize this, nor do his brain-dead supporters.

(33,643 posts)original contract, to continue to serve as the Director of the most Elite law enforcement agency in the World. The one that kept us safe from any major terrorist attacks for 12 years immediately after 9/11 under his Directorship.
IIRC there was not 1 single NO vote, despite the GOP holding the majority in the Senate.

(4,251 posts)I, like so many older Americans, aren't involved in "social media" - no facebook, no twitter, etc, and am rather old school - which is fine with me. That being said, and being "old school" I'm used to taking Presidential statements seriously. I've always assumed they are thought out, and need to be paid attention.
I hope I don't have to sign up for a special account to read presidential statements.
Thanks.
PeeJ52
(1,588 posts)Social media is anything but social. I tried Facebook twice, but couldn't stand to see the hate from people I used to know that have bought into the Russian propaganda. I like it better where I can choose my forums and who can message me and not be beat up by bots. You can follow tRump's twitter feed on the web, but you can't answer him. He doesn't read responses anyway. He only tweets to piss people off and then runs to laugh at all the angry responses. tRump is just a typical internet troll... not worth the effort.. he'll be gone soon anyway.

(17,027 posts)I wouldn't sign in to read anything trump posts. I do use Facebook and joined 2 groups of Resist Dems, which helps me cope. Like D.U. does.
I've recommended D.U. to people in both groups, but they say theu don't understand how it works. So I guess we all have our preferences.

(25,771 posts)Trump was acting like a 6 year old.
Also in the way he always gives himself an A+ on his performance.
Some here of a certain age will remember handwritten report cards. Some kids - so I am told - would actually change a F - to an A+ before showing it to their parents (even using a different color ink).

(7,034 posts)I think he signed off on it, though. I predict his twitter feed will be used as incriminating evidence in some cases, but he will claim a hacked phone, or an aide wrote it. I think Steven Miller may be behind some of the more petulant tweets. Kelly Anne may be about to snap, too.
