Boston Globe Opines on Romney Taking Down TRUMP so Mitt becomes GOP version of Ralph Nader

.
Before you give too much credit to the banter, please take note that - the Globe is currently run by Boston Red Six owner John Henry.

Prior to that time, it was owned by The New York Times for 2 decades..

That being said, here's what the Boston Globe Opines of TRUMP v. ROMNEY

The midterms are mostly behind us, and Congress can finally focus on what really matters: the careful consideration of new legislation and dutiful oversight of the executive branch.

Haha, just kidding. No, even though the votes from last week aren’t even all counted yet, it is, of course, time to move on to the next election. And while the discussion so far has focused on which Democrats are running and who among them is best positioned to defeat President Trump, I’ve got the perfect candidate to dethrone the Donald.

It’s Mitt Romney.

The Globe opine continues with items noteworthy -

Romney has referred to the president a “con man” and a “fraud.” Flake, an outgoing senator from Arizona, has decried “the coarseness of our leadership.” And Sasse, a Republican senator from Nebraska, has said he thinks about leaving the party every day because of Trump.

Mitt isn't even a Senator (yet) until he is sworn in, next year; and the banter is that Romney might defeat Trump by running on a 3rd party ticket.

REALLY !?!?!

He'll call Trump out when he does, says, or nominates someone/something horrible.

Then he'll vote for everything Trump wants, saying, "yes Bwana," just to make sure Trump knows that Romney realizes who's top Sahib.

I'd love to see some drama over in RepublicanLand, but I'll not hold my breath.

it's a tough read. On one hand I can see him being the "loose wire" in the system and setting himself up for his own run.
Then again, I can see him being plowed under by whatever mystical power IQ45 has (or pictures provided by Vlad) and Mitt and Dear Lindsey both trying to see who can get their lips closer to the orange blob.

Either way, it ain't gonna' be pretty!

...I can't see Romney alienating the Republican Party base to that extent. Especially if he hopes to become Senate Majority Leader.

What's going to drive me nuts is the inevitable media narrative that says Romney is a "moderate."

Whenever I see him on TV or read his name all I can think is that he put his dog in a crate and then put the crate on the roof of the car. Anyone that would do that is an asshole.
