No, no, Trump said in Chico when asked if wildfires devastation changed his opinion on climate change. I have a strong opinion. I want great climate. Were going to have that. And were going to have forests that are very safe. Because we cant go through this every year.

(12,592 posts)If he truly cared about having "great climate," he wouldn't have yanked the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement the first year he was in office.
Like most wingnuts, he lives in a fact-free bubble of ignorance.

"I want great climate."
Damn, he's profoundly stupid.

(15,682 posts)He never says anything except how great or big something is, that no one has ever seen what's going on. And that he has the best person working on it, someone he knows well, a good friend of his, great man. And things are coming along like you've never seen and will be great in the next small amount of time.
It is the same about everything, every time. It amounts to saying nothing.

Really? What a coincidence. So do we!
"Were going to have that."
Yeah? And who's going to make that happen? You? You and what army of wizards? Has someone convinced you that Hogwarts is real?
"And were going to have forests that are very safe."
Really? How big a watering can do you envision carrying around the West for the rest of your life? You DO realize that you have to fill it up every time it's empty, don't you?
"Because we cant go through this every year.
Well, you do have a point there. You're one for four. The trouble is that so far, we ARE going through this every year, and you haven't shown the slightest interest in doing anything about it. Nor do the idiots you pick for EPA and Interior. We ARE open to suggestions, though.

(9,080 posts)Trump truly looks as he sounds in that picture.
Like a child that has no comprehension of the world around him yet, babbling about his new toy truck in the middle of a crime scene.
The adults in the room look very serious and yet flabbergasted by his remarks.

He can't make any of that happen and wouldn't anyway.
Ultimately, it's foolish, because in the next two years there will be more bad storms and droughts and fires, leading to more people fleeing the GOP.

(11,645 posts)WTF? That's supposed to be his opinion on climate change? It's almost as stupid as when they asked him if he favors a 2 state solution in Israel earlier this year and he said "I'm in favor of however many states people want." or some such idiocy.
