He can tell Trump what Mueller has , what he is investigating. Even if he is removed he will still be able to tell Trump what ever he learned. This is fucked up.
The first subpoena from the house should go to Whitaker. They should do it the first day.

(3,032 posts)Trumps tweet last week about inside information on the investigation followed by his sudden willingness to answer some written questions and refusal on others shows he knows how to avoid perjury now. Hes seen some sizable chunk of the info. Likely interview transcripts based on his tweet.

(39,343 posts)Mueller could ask him to requisition three DOJ prisoner transport busses for a certain date and be real vague but hint that raids were scheduled.
Can you imagine how buggy trump would act if he thought Marshals were coming for him?

(4,613 posts)one of, if not the main reasons Whitaker was chosen/installed by Trump was SPECIFICALLY to serve as a conduit to Trump of advance info gleaned from Special Counsel Mueller's investigation.

(7,434 posts)He has to be very careful. His ethics board is watching every move he makes. If he loses his license, that's a career changer. He also has to worry about being included in obstruction charges in multiple fronts. Not only can he be included in indictments about Trumpy's obstruction, he can also obstruct investigations into his OWN separate fraudulent actions now being investigated by the FBI. The asshole had better get out of the DOJ and save his skin, and fast.

(32,088 posts)Malcolm Nance pointed out yesterday that until Whitaker gets Senate confirmation, Mueller is not obliged to tell him anything. I have very little doubt that Mueller has been keeping the most vital information away from this fuckstick. Mueller isn't stupid. He is many dozens of steps ahead of Trump and his crime syndicate, including Whitaker. I'm sure he knew many, many months that this kind of situation was inevitable, and he has been prepared for it.

(10,721 posts)...he must have coordinated with the White House when to give press conferences. Choosing Friday is purposeful. Trump would have known days in advance what was coming.

(4,066 posts)I'd say he's already told him everything major that he's found out about. That, along with the mid-terms are what put Trump in such a funk and he hid in his room for days.
