White House working on new rules for reporters in wake of Acosta decision, Trump says
President Trump on Friday said the White House is working on new rules and regulations for reporters after a judge ordered the administration to restore the suspended press credentials of CNN correspondent Jim Acosta.
"We want total freedom of the press," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, adding that "we have to practice decorum."
Were setting up a certain standard which is what the court is requesting, the president said.
