Mitch McConnell - Profile in Blindness
Senator McConnell has stated several times that Donald Trump has no intention of firing Robert Mueller and he sees no reason to pass anything to protect the Special Counsel.
But, he had intimated in the past that if Jeff Sessions was fired, the circumstances might change?
Senators Flake and Coons will attempt today to get to the floor a resolution to protect the Mueller investigation. It is expected that McConnell will once again hold firm.
The only thing that might get him off the dime might be a challenge to his leadership? He seems to enjoy being Senate Majority Leader more than he enjoys being a citizen of a freedom-loving democracy?
