Okay... I've only read "Anthem" by her because I was on a dystopian kick and it was short, and I figured, hey, why dive right into something like "Atlas Shrugged" and hate it when I can try a small pink-plastic taste test first. I finished "Anthem" so disgusted utterly disgusted with her egoistic, ignorant, and downright evil PHILOSOPHY--a philosophy that, by the way, permeated every page of that piece of guttertrash--that I refused to pick up anything else by her again. And "Anthem" is only 72 pages. Does she really do such a great job of hiding her "atheistic philosophy" (which, atheism is the absolute LEAST worrying thing to me about Objectivism) that Paul Ryan could miss it? Somehow I kinda doubt it.

(27,630 posts)She was a satanist, except she didn't actually worship Satan. But the philosophies (Ayn Rand's POV and Satanism) are strikingly similar, to my novice estimation.
