Trump mocks France's World War II record as relations with Macron deteriorate into confrontation

Incredible! He constantly has to pick fights and bully his way around, the anti-peacemaker.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-mocks-france-wwii-record-in-continued-threat-of-nato-pullout-2018-11

President Donald Trump mocked France's war record in a Tuesday-morning tweet that again waved the idea of the US pulling out of, or modifying its relationship to, NATO.

French President Emmanuel Macron has long pushed for a European army separate from NATO, the global military alliance that includes the US and Canada and has sought to secure the continent against Russian aggression that has grown since the end of World War II.

Spurred by the US's withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, which eliminated a category of nuclear weapons and almost denuclearized the continent, Macron renewed his calls to break away from depending on US military might.

for it not to have an effect on him. Besides, he uses the gimmick of using the same words ("disgraceful" ) against others (who are NOT "disgraceful" ), thereby taking the power out of the words.

that he is unfit to serve in any capacity in our military. No way could he tolerate the need to follow orders, no matter how trivial. He would crack up at being trained to do as you are commanded. It is just not in him to be the one taking orders. As you recall at last week’s press conference, he was barking orders at Jim Acosta and others while sneering in general at the whole room full of reporters. And apparently relishing his power to do so. Can you imagine him in basic training having to be ordered around like the lowly slug he’d be. But that is a necessary part of the training to instill in you how a hierarchy works. He would wash out in the first week.

And it why he is a total failure as a Commander in Chief. He does not belong in a position of power over anyone or anything because he does not understand how to use the authority. For him, it is all about having his way instead of what is best for the country.

Who would be dumb enough to take that position...other than a Whittaker-like junior league idiot? One wants to look away, like any tragedy, but you can't. God help us...if you're out there.

He was a Police Captain during WWII. He was a member of the Resistance.
My mother was a child during the war.
Many French - both in service and civilians risked their lives in fight against the Nazis and many more died.
And this was a country that lost a generation of men during WWI. A mere 20 years earlier.
Trump can F himself as far as I am concerned.
But, then, I've disliked him since the 80s
