My Scorched Earth Proposal

Romney will not discuss his tax policy until after the election.

Hence Romney's tax plan is just like Romney's tax returns. Solidly in "Prove me wrong" territory.

I would hit the airwaves with ads stating that Romney will eliminate the home mortgage interest tax deduction.

Let him counter it.

(He has said it is one of the things he is looking at, so this is actually truer than they typical Romney attack on Obama. And if it isn't true then he can refute it easily by releasing his secret tax plan.)

The one percenters will get lower tax rates, possibly even no tax on capital gains, so they will come out ahead.

There's a lot to go after Willard and Wolgang with...and taxes will be front and center. Brian Williams alluded to it on TDS last night when he mention the Ryan tax proposals as one that will come under scrutiny in the weeks ahead. The Ryan budget does eliminate the home owners deduction and surely Mr. Axelrod and Plouffe not only know it but have ads tested and ready to roll. Right now it's more effective to let Mittens and Ryan wrestle with what parts of Ryan's draconian plan he stands for and what he can't. This will be a battle at the upcoming rushpublican circus in Florida as teabaggers and Paulbots are sure to make the platform process very, very interesting. How far can Willard stray from the Ryan plan without Rushbo slapping him down?
