Is Donald Trump an asset or political liability for the Democratic Party?

With the recent historic "blue wave", one might argue that Donald Trump is great for the Democratic Party. But, unfortunately, he is a threat and liability to our country and the rest of the world.

Politically, the longer Donald Trump stays in office, the better it is for the Democrats. He may even bring a "veto-proof" Democratic Senate in the next election.

That may sound good to many people, but the longer he is in power, the worse it is for our country and the world.

Should we wish for what is best for our Party or what is best for our country?

In my opinion, that seems to be the direction we are going?

We will be decades undoing the damage he's caused.

He is, at least, a Democratic recruiting poster who makes part of our case for us.

that even if a normal Republican had won the election, the 2018 and 2020 elections would turn out the same. In the other hand, Trump is undermining our institutions, making racism acceptable and weakening our alliances, so it's clear it would be better if he weren't in office.

It would divide the Republican Party base (at least temporarily) *and* it would benefit the world.

He is an asset, because every day he alienates more Indies and sane republicans.
