so the question remains--WHAT IN THE HELL is the tangerine traitor so afraid of? WHAT is he

hiding? one would think that an innocent person would say, "investigate--clear my name"

so, as much as we know, what in the HELL is still to be discovered? this boggles the mind.

and put her in charge as overseer of the Starr investigation?

You don't remember that outrage?

(yeah, I know, AG didn't actually oversee Starr as he was Independent, but ... that's what Mueller should've been as well, in a fair and just legal system)

because he's afraid he and his family are going to be held accountable for a series of crimes and lies and on-going fraud.

Thus, the terror with Mueller closing in on the 'family secrets.'

If he is found to have done something that would be cause for his accounts and assets to all be frozen and seized.

Or living in prison where he can't spend his money.

Or, maybe high treason, punishable by death.

U.S. Constitution, Article 3, Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court ...

"or"?

Or, what can be defined as "levying war"?

Not arguing, just playing devil advocate now. I don't disagree espionage would be more fitting in case of the crimes Trump might have committed.

Isn't which technical word the DoJ uses really irrelevant to everyone but the federal court system?

Our government can and does charge, try, convict, and put traitors away for sentences proportional to the crime, for crimes which committed are in peacetime. Just imagine if we couldn't! Notably, intent need not be established, only performance of the crime defined in the statute chosen.

Just btw, because i'm not a didact, but I have read that treason could be charged using that word under certain circumstances and in the absence of declaration of war, but I don't remember the details of the explanation. Other law is normally employed in cases in treason, like conspiracy against the state or to defraud the state. There's another common one, which I also forget.

As for Trump, he's such a whacko I'm prepared to believe it could be anything from treason to nothing. Maybe he wet his bed until he was 10 and would do anything to keep that from coming out.

He's pulled his family into his crimes -- not that the asshole cares about anyone but himself -- and he fears impeachment, loss of his wealth and the ridicule that follows. What he has done is NOT something one can spin.

The narcissist cannot stand the dishonor and the light that will be shown on the dirt he has hidden -- in many areas of his life.

Trump knows more than we do and I think he has a lot to be afraid of. He is inherently a gambler and this time he overplayed his hand. There's no one to bail him out anymore.

I think his fears are beyond the collusion investigation. There are definite mob connections he's hiding, heard whispers of it for years from friends in NYC. NY real estate business is a true SWAMP for money laundering and mob influence that needs to be drained and investigated even beyond Trump and his crime family. Russians have been cultivating him as an asset since the late 70's, marriage to Ivana was a big factor. This is all well documented, but for no clear reason I can think of our government and intelligence agencies turned a blind eye for decades. Perhaps because he got "too big to fail" in New York financial industry and they kept having to bail him out to keep everything stable (but now much to the detriment of the future of our nation and freedoms).

he was doing and apparently getting away with all of it. He could have lived the good life with a penthouse in tRump Tower. He had his trophy wife, his phony white teeth and lots of people bamboozled into thinking he was a really rich, really smart guy.

But No, he HAD to get into big time politics. It was just something he had to do to prove how extra special he is. It never dawned on him that the scrutiny on him, his family and anyone he had done business with would be subjected to extra inspection and that he’d have some explaining to do. So now that Mueller is nearing the end of his investigation, tRump is getting extra nervous. He knows the truth is just about to come out. No wonder he was on a tear yesterday, firing Sessions and melting down at the press conference. Just wait until it is common knowledge what a con he is.

I cannot wait! It’ll be a happy day. There will be dancing in the streets. And all because he had to prove how much smarter, richer and better he is than anyone else.
