at least not when it comes to protecting his own interests. I seriously doubt that as AG, he would do anything that OVERTLY obstructs justice. Surely, he doesn't want to earn the fate of former AG John Mitchell. Christie may very well be endearing himself to get hired as one of Trump's personal lawyers for big buck fees. Or attorney for the whole Trump clan.

He also was a U.S. Attorney and understands why there needs to be separation between law enforcement and politicians.

He's horrible in just about every way, but he also so much better than any of the alternatives.

The only question is--would Christie take the AG job to be Trump's loyal lapdog, or would he just pretend for a while, only to "reluctantly do his duty" to get his revenge later and nail Trump's ass to the barn door when all his crooked stuff came to light, courtesy of Bob Mueller?
