I live in her Distict!

Only bad thing: my rural county in north central Washington went hard for the R as it always does. All of Kim's votes came from urban/ suburban. She ran hard here! Deserves big congrats!

Nice to see it getting the honor of dumping yet another bucket on Rossi's ambitions.

I think that only position he hasn't run for and lost in that state is Miss Washington, not that he was more qualified for any of the other posts he ran for.

I thought that one would be close, and the few polls I saw reflected that, but she beat him by ~5%. I think that this race, and dozens of ones like it in affluent suburban districts is showing that the Republicans are getting squeezed out of those areas, which are often the swing districts of close statewide races. For now, they seem to be making up the numbers in an enthused rural base, but rich, educated professional suburbanites have always done the heavy lifting in fundraising and party organization.

I didn't think she was going to be able to appeal to dry-side voters, and the Dems would have been better off nominating Rittereiser, a white dude.

I am happy to eat crow.
