General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI have three friends and former co-workers running for office today in the OKC area.
Cyndi Munson, State Representative, House District 85 - running for re-election. She has been in office 2.5 years, and this is her FOURTH campaign in four years. She is a powerhouse! I expect to see her run for governor one day.
Carrie Blumert - running for Oklahoma County Commissioner, District 1. This is her first general election, but she beat her D opposition almost 2 to 1 in the primary this year, and he was well known in the city. Carrie works for the Oklahoma County Health Department and was instrumental in starting the OKC Open Streets event.
Kaitlyn Gleason-Dockery - running for State Representative, House District 54. This is her first election as well. She is running against a first-time republican representative who's forgotten he was supposed to represent the people who elected him.
I am so very proud of these women. They have worked so hard and so long for this day. They are strong, fierce leaders who will do amazing things for Oklahoma. #GIRLpower
I admit I will probably shed a few tears of happiness tonight....

Oklahoma City is lucky to have 3 such good candidates/reps serving the public, and do represent the true human quality of helping thy fellow human. I'm not surprised. When I visited Oklahoma City last, the people were absolutely amazing and friendly.

Good luck again and best wishes!!

In her current campaign someone talked her into running pop up ads on Words With Friends that ran incessantly to the point that they became totally obnoxious. I came close to forking over money to eliminate ads it was so bad. She should fire whoever talked her into the non stop pop up ads.
