I got to the polling station at 5:45 (it opens at 6) and I was voter 300 and something. The line is physically longer than it was in 2016, and the only contested races on the ballot are Kaine/McNazi and a flood insurance ballot question. Now to hold my breath for fourteen hours or so.

(2,301 posts)VA-08 is the most heavily Democratic district. Sounds like the enthusiasm on our side is extremely high

Four districts share a voting location, as people enter, they branch off to their district's table, sign in and vote.
I think twice, I waited 5 minutes, as two people were in front of me for the booth, and that was back in the 90s.

I'm sure if you take more than 30 seconds of their time, they would be annoyed, but hours of yours... no problem.
