he'll claim fraud and cheating blah blah blah to try and de-legitimize the vote in the eyes of the people. it will help support his "you can't trust anyone but me" control over his base but will have no effect on the happiness of the majority or the functioning of congress.

The states are in charge of running their elections. Although it is up to the House and Senate to accept the results (in January), we don't really have a system where the President has a say.
