This was the wrongful death case brought by Patricia Smith, the mother of one of the soldiers killed, along with the father of another one of them. It was being championed by Larry Klayman's law firm. It had been dismissed by the lower courts at every level. Smith had appeared with Trump on some occasions, demanding that Clinton go to prison. She also attended one of the 2016 debates.
No link: it was listed in this morning's SCOTUS orders. It noted that Kavanaugh had recused himself, but said nothing else. (Although if you wish to read their original filings, they're on the court's website here: https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docket/docketfiles/html/public/18-275.html )

(20,998 posts)...it should be the Rethuglican* Congress that refused to grant the security funding requested by the State Department to beef up security at several facilities, including Benghazi.

(22,977 posts)Couldn't sleep the other night so I started flipping channels and came across one of those whodunnit murder mystery shows that are so prevalent on cable/over the air stations and lo and behold there's little ol' Ed Grimley himself. Apparently he's always been full of himself and loves to act "tough" on camera. They do cutaway shots and each time he came back on screen his hairstyle was different than the previous shot. No continuity whatsoever. I was literally laughing each time he appeared as it seemed he was trying out which hairdo made him seem more butch.
It was either "Forensic Files" or "Solved" -- I looked him up on IMDB.

(22,977 posts)ironically it was about the murder of a hairdresser in SC.
I felt bad for laughing, considering the subject matter, but Gawd he's a tool!
