Fox News host Sean Hannity pushed back against a report that he will be one of three special guests at President Trumps rally in Missouri on Monday evening, claiming in a tweet that hes only hosting his show at the event and covering the rally.
Something I have done in every election in the past, he said
A Fox News spokesperson reiterated the same in an email to TPM on Monday.
Variety reported on Monday that the Trump campaign is, however, promoting the rally as an event that will feature appearances from Hannity, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh and country music singer Lee Greenwood, along with Trump.
As TPM has reported, Hannity got a slap on the wrist in 2016 after he appeared in a Trump video promoting Trump.
Trump and Hannity are reportedly close friends and Trump regularly calls Hannity for advice, leading some White House aides to peg Hannity as Trumps shadow chief of staff.
