hey rudy, he got it and you didn't...
........................................
Vice President Joe Biden might not have the mental capacity for the job, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Tuesday on CNBC. (Read More: Giuliani: No Lingering Doubts About Mitt Romney)
I've never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things, he said on The Kudlow Report. I mean, theres a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it.
I mean, this guy just isnt bright. Hes never been bright. He isnt bright. And people think, Well, he just talks a little too much. Actually, hes just not very smart. (Read More: Giuliani: Impression of Cover-Up in Holder Case)
Giuliani, who made failed bids for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and the U.S. Senate in 2000, praised Mitt Romneys selection of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate. (Read More: Ryan Will Cost Romney Election, Top Investor Says)

(10,751 posts)Yep, that's why Giuliani can't stand him: Biden OWNED him with that remark, and those of us who follow politics have never forgotten it, because it is witty and pithy and oh, so true.
Of course one cannot expect Giuliani to like him for it
But Giuliani is not smart enough to come up with something witty and pithy; no, he has to attack Biden's "mental capacity", which is absolutely laughable. Anyone who has listened to him knows he is sharp. Whereas Giuliani... well as I said, he can't come up with anything witty or pithy, and that is the ONLY way he could get back at Biden. But he hasn't got the intellectual firepower to do it.

(43,198 posts)Seriously though, Joe Biden is one of the most underestimated men in Washington. He's got a brilliant mind for both foreign and domestic policy.
And unlike Dubya or Mitt, his "gaffes" are not reflective of low intelligence.

(6,286 posts)is Very Concerned(TM) that Obama needs to change his VP to Hillary.
I said "so basically you are taking your marching orders from Quitter Palin, and you would have the sitting president raid his cabinet a few months before the election to throw his Vice President on the scrap heap. And you would ask him to pick the person who galvanizes your base even more than she does mine. You are higher than Bob Marley climbing the Himalayans in stilettos."
He says "it's gonna happen. It may not be Hillary but Obama is going to ditch Biden the bozo. Bank it."
I said "$500. Right now. I'll bet you $500 this never happens. Let's get a co-worker in here to witness it," and called down the hall for someone to come in the room. Two heads poked around the corner.
He balked. I took it down to $250 and then $100, then a paltry $20. He wouldn't bite. What a punk. The two heads disappeared, disappointed that nothing happened.
He's still regretting betting me $200 that if Romney wins, that the ACA will be repealed in the first two years. I don't think that bet will even happen because I think Obama wins a close one, but lately, I've decided I'm in the moron-fleecing business, and business is going to be good.
(Yes, I know we should be working and not jousting. Sorry.)

(70,581 posts)... international relations but he has been a professor of Constitutional Law.
From Wiki:
Since 1991, Biden has served as an adjunct professor at the Widener University School of Law, Delaware's only law school, where he has taught a seminar on constitutional law. The seminar has been one of Widener's most popular, often with a waiting list for enrollment. Biden has typically co-taught the course with another professor, taking on at least half the course minutes and sometimes flying back from overseas to make one of the classes.

(1,440 posts)I don't get why republicans are making the usual "non-incumbent" type attacks this election cycle. Biden's not capable. Obama has never had a real job. Etc etc etc. Usually, the point of these attacks is to sow doubt in the capability of the candidate to do the job of the elected office.
This doesn't make sense for incumbent candidates. Biden's shown for four years he's had the mental capacity to be VP. Obama HAS had a real job... President of the United States of America! Why would there be doubt on whether Obama/Biden can do the job if they have been doing the job for the last four years? It's like these clowns are still living in '08.

(28,795 posts)Well I think it's deeper, I think it's deeper than just he's kind of staid and everything else. I ran against him in '07, '08. I have never seen a guy--and I've run a lot of elections, supported a lot of people, opposed them--never seen a guy change his positions on so many things so fast--on a dime . . . Now what will Barack Obama do to that? What Barack Obama will do to that is: this is a man without a core. This is a man without a substance. This is a man who will say anything to become President of the United States. I think that is a great vulnerability.

There's something wrong when you've been running as long as Mitt has, and you're at 25%, and you don't go much above, and you don't go much below. 75% of the other Republicans are telling you something about him.
