Willie McCovey passed away tonight. He played in San Fran, San Diego and Oakland then finish his career in San Fran. He was inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986. One nicest players around who played because he love the game. He was 80 years old. RIP Willie. There never will be another player like you.

But it was hard to hate them when there were class people like Willie McCovey and Willie Mays in their organization.
Miss those days. Miss my youth, too. But miss the joy that was baseball in those years all the more with each passing giant of a player. And Willie McCovey was a giant of a man.
