its whether they were here legally -- I haven't seen anything to indicate his parents were not here legally, even if they weren't citizens, when he was born.

Overstating what he's proposing isn't helpful since it will make what he actually proposes seem reasonable by comparison, even though its not.

Four of his children were born to those two immigrant ladies who did not come in here and get to stay by obeying the immigration laws.

The point is that he is, surprise, completely hypocritical, and it needs to be pointed out at every opportunity... that his in-laws (two sets of in-laws!) came here through the 'chain migration' he decries as dangerous to our national security, that he hires non-citizens constantly and in fact defies the rules (pretending there are no natives available to do the work), that he has in the past frequently hired undocumented workers (probably because he could then refuse to pay them).

It is important to point this out. It won't change him, or the mind's of his cult fans. But the rest of us need every reminder that not one thing he says or position he takes can be trusted even for a moment.

That's been part of proposals that have been put forward in the past (yes, this isn't the first time someone has claimed birthright citizenship can be limited without a Constitutional amendment) and it will be if Trump or Graham puts forward a proposal now.
