What is they are trying to run the worst campaign possible, and still be able to steal votes?
Now, I realize that might seem silly. After all, it is not like the GOP has to worry about having a bunch of proper candidates for 2016, the Jebs, The Christies, etc.
But consider that the GOP is merely the shell for the Ultra Rich. They can discard the traditional GOP as easily as they could anything else that gets in their way.
So, ponder that the realm point is to have someone that even the right wing should expect to lose. Now, I present these labels as most GOP should see them, so if you are Mormon or catholic, please do not think I am trying to be a bigot"
We have a Mormon from Massachusetts. A man who, unlike even W. has NO charisma, at ALL! No war record, no great career.
We have a Catholic from Ohio, who has been the loudest voice for the cutting of benefits, in a year when Florida is a key piece to the puzzle.
Not ONE from a Red State, not one Protestant, not one Veteran! So, WHY would people assemble this ticket and blow a billion?
Because they want to show that a Billion Dollars will put ANYONE THEY WANT INTO OFFICE.
This is NOT about winning 2012, this is about dropping a nuke on the very idea of democracy itself, to prove that the new aristocrats can buy and sell any face they want to use as their puppets! They want to have people unable to make sense of it!

Herman Caine was backed by Koch money.
Santorum had Foster Friess.
But certainly they will all be citizens united behind Mitt.

(466 posts)You'd think subtlety would be better for them to maintain their control.
I do agree though, it's highly suspect for so much to go wrong in his campaign. It's like they aren't even trying. Or maybe we just can't comprehend that they're really that stupid and full of wrong ideas.

That's their subtlety...

(14,275 posts)I think they are trying to win. They are insulated and tone deaf and are as clueless as they appear.

(10,336 posts)It's all about Mitt's vanity and sense of entitlement. His ego. This almost farcical campaign, even before it was Mitt, was a campaign of almost-never-was candidates. His arragance and out of touch-ness was lampooned by the rest of em back then. He's been lumbering along at 34% or some such, forever. He's skidding onto base at Tampa with Ryan in tow, mostly to pray the it's not a raucous one. It still might be...one can dream, right? lol Oh, how I wish for a complete meltdown in Tampa. Is that bad of me?
