Yosemite fall: Victims identified as married bloggers from India

30 October 2018

A man and woman who died after falling from an iconic cliff in Yosemite National Park have been identified as a married couple from India.

Vishnu Viswanath, 29, and Meenakshi Moorthy, 30, were living in the US and had maintained a travel blog of photos from their trips around the country.

In a recent Instagram post, the couple pondered the "daredevilry" of taking photos from dangerous locations.

Park rangers are investigating but say the cause of death may never be known.

the cause of death is evident, look at their "Look what we got away with in a National Park" web site and you have your answer. I have no sympathy for people who do stupid shit and ignore the signs and visitor protocols and then end up dead. As a former NP Ranger and what I saw in the recent past... no sympathy here.
