I converted to Judaism about fifteen years ago, but he doesn't really think of me as Jewish. He may have started to listen when I asked him what he would tell reporters after I was murdered at services by a nationalist.

Oh it can happen here. It IS happening here.

I remember telling my mother than it could easily happen here.

At least now there are thousands who get it. Hopefully we can stop this now because so many more can see it too.

5. from Atwater to Trump -- divide and conquer

From Atwater's dog whistle campaign to TrumPutin's hate rallies, the goal of the GOP has been to divide and conquer. Now it has been pushed to where they are uniting white supremacists and Nazis and normalizing their hatred. The rest of us have to stand together for each other.

Someone has finally gotten it. I've been talking about Atwater for months now, especially after what happened to Al Franken. Actually I think it went back to Nixon's antics. Anyway that's when they started to slide into where they are now. Hopefully it will end with rump.

11. This time Fascism is a little more clever.

Trumpism is all about what can you do for me. The lies and messages are just as dangerous as before. The basic immorality of Trumpism is covered up by wanting to appear amoral. This has the potential to be as deadly as the old Fascism which was more direct in the twentieth century. The arm bands have been replaced by that stupid hat and sneering smiling faces at hate rallies.

Which is why I wish more people would listen to us when we say their is a problem with anti-Semitism, instead of 'splainin' to us how we are "looking for problems", "making excuses (whitewashing) the roles of "bad" Jews (usually, Israel, its leaders, or some random RW Jew)", "Playing the Holocaust card", or "ignoring the plights of others". This goes for gays and transgender people too! LISTEN TO US! We don't want to hear about your Jewish stockbroker, or gay son, or lesbian bestie, or Jewish neighbor or transgender mail carrier has to say...we get it "some of your best friends are..."

Jews (GLBT, African-Americans, Muslims, women....etc...) aren't always going to be on the same page. Hell, in the Jewish community there is a saying: "Two Jews, three opinions." But when large numbers of us are saying something is affecting our community, is causing us distress, pain, or worry, or threatening us, do not dismiss our concerns out of hand through your stories of "best friends".

Like other forms of bigotry, anti-Semitism is on the rise. It has turned even more deadly. All forms, let me repeat, ALL forms of anti-Semitism are detrimental and must be confronted and extinguished!

I will "remind" folks, the "hate beast" never stops with one group. NEVER! It always hungers for more. One day, it may be your group on the menu. Then all that will be left, should you survive, is to reflect and say" "First they came for..."
